The Zara-Expo road is 2.2 km long. It departs from via Eritrea and arrives at the Eastern entrance of the exhibition site. The first part of the road passes through a tunnel to minimize its impact on the historical district of Quarto Oggiaro: a tunnel of 600 m, dug from the surface using systems of bulkheads and tie rods, with two lanes of traffic in each direction.

At the end of the tunnel, the road continues via three roundabouts along the section from via Stephenson to the Eastern entrance of Expo. All the crossroads and roundabouts are enriched with urban greenery and street furniture.
