In January 2009, two new companies were established: Metro Engineering and Napoli Metro Engineering, both equipped with an Organization, Management and Control Model and a Supervisory Body as per Legislative Decree no. 231/2001.
In view of the contents of the survey measure of the participations held, adopted by the Municipality of Milan with Resolution of the City Council no. 26 of 25.09.2017, the merger processes by incorporation of the companies Metro Engineering and Napoli Metro Engineering into the company MM S.p.A. were carried out.
The merger deed was signed on December 27, 2017, below is the information relating to the corporate life of the two subsidiaries until the merger by incorporation.
The Company’s purpose is to provide the services and technical and administrative activities necessary to fully execute the orders conferred by MM S.p.A..

Metro Engineering Srl (NME) inherits the operational structure that has been dealing with the design and works management of the works related to Line 1 of the Naples metro for over 25 years and for 5 years with the design of the civil works of line 6. In particular, NME has taken care of: feasibility studies and preliminary designs, functional design of stations, tunnels, line structures, depot-workshops and interchange car parks, the management of the works of the civil works in the rough, of the finishes and systems and assistance to the Naples Metro concessionaire in technical-administrative relations and in the testing and usability phases for the exercise.
